How could this happen to us?
During the past years we have lost so much of our culture.
In the 70s we fought for free love in San Francisco.
In the 80s we freed the media from censorship in London.
And in the 90s we danced naked in the streets of Berlin.
Just 10 years ago it looked like we had finally won against the hypocrites, the bigotry, the haters.
And today?
Suddenly we find ourselves in a digital world ruled by backward cynics.
They censor us, they close our channels.
They hinder the development of a free culture everywhere they can.
And we just accept our paradise becoming a PayPal shopping mall. We let our lives be reduced to a 15-second comedy challenge.
But some of us don’t accept that.
Some of us have realised that it’s not about us.
It’s not about our fetish parties, our nude pics, our hedonistic community.
It’s about where this world is going.
That’s why we stand up and show the world how beautiful it could be.
We present a society that is free, that accepts everyone, that doesn’t burn its energies in prohibitions, but uses resources to find real solutions.
A society that focuses on the vision of a beautiful life for everyone.
This is what we are about. Fighting, not hiding.
And when you meet us at KLUB VERBOTEN X BERLINABLE tonight, don’t think we’re just partying. We’re shaping a new, free culture.
We’re giving an example of how beautiful this world could be – for everyone.
